1. Tournament Promoter: The promoter is Hasbro UK Limited of 4 The Square, Stockley Park, Uxbridge, UB11 1ET, United Kingdom (“Tournament Promoter” or “Hasbro”).
2. No Entry Fee: No entry fee is required to enter the UKI Beyblade X Grand Prix Tournament (“Event”) and participate in the Event and the opportunity to win a prize.
3. Eligibility:
- Regular Class: Legal residents of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, who are between eight (8) and twelve (12) years of age at the time of entry and who have the express written consent of a parent or legal guardian are eligible to participate in the Regular Class. Individuals who, at the time of entry: (i) are not between eight (8) and twelve (12) years of age; and/or (ii) do not have express written consent of a parent or legal guardian, are NOT eligible to participate in the Regular Class.
- Open Class: Legal residents of the United Kingdom and Republic Of Ireland, who are thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of entry are eligible to participate in the Open Class. Individuals below the age of eighteen (18) may only participate with the express written consent of a parent or legal guardian. Individuals who, at the time of entry: (i) are not thirteen (13) years of age or older; and/or (ii) are below the age of eighteen (18) and do not have express written consent of a parent or legal guardian, are NOT eligible to participate in the Open Class.
- Ineligible Individuals: Employees of Hasbro, its holding or affiliated or subsidiary companies, employees of Smyths Toys HQ Unlimited Company (Smyths Toys Superstores), advertising and promotion agencies, and their household members, if related, are not eligible. Individuals who have been disqualified from participating at any other events by the Tournament Promoter are also NOT eligible.
- Tournament Rules: By entering and participating in the Event, you, and as applicable, your parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s), agree to be bound by these Official Rules (“Official Rules” or “Tournament Rules”), and the decisions of the Tournament Promoter (including interpretations of these Official Rules and the rules of the game and Beyblade X instructions) and the judges. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. The Event is subject to all applicable laws and is void where prohibited by law.
- General: In entering the Event, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Tournament Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4. Event Participation: Between 4th July 2026 and 29th August 2026 (“Event Qualification Period”), to enter the Event, you must sign up for a regional qualifying tournament (each, “Qualifying Tournament”) which will be held in selected Smyths Toys Superstores across the UK and Ireland, by completing and submitting the online entry form provided on https://www.smythstoys.com prior to the Event. A list of Qualifying Tournaments will be provided on/at https://smythstoys.com and may be updated from time to time by the Tournament Promoter. LIMIT: ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON. All entries, once submitted, become the property of Tournament Promoter and will not be returned.
5. Qualifying Tournament Events: Each Qualifying Tournament will consist of a single-day event. All players must check in onsite the day of the event 30 mins before the start time of the tournament and will be placed into a tournament bracket based on their order in the registration line. All players under eighteen (18) must be accompanied by a parent and/or legal guardian. The tournament will be held at 11 AM and 2 PM, with 1 match per class each timeslot. The rules of the game and the Beyblade X instructions that apply during the Qualifying Tournament will be determined by Hasbro in its sole discretion and shared electronically with the participants prior to the Qualifying Tournament. The Tournament Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Event. Twenty (20) qualifying-level champions per class will advance to the UK and ROI Championship event. If a player participates in the tournament and fails to advance to the next qualifying tournament round and/or to the next higher-level tournament, the player will be eliminated from the contest and is no longer eligible to compete/ participate in the Event.
6. UK and ROI Championship Event: The UK and ROI Championship will be held on 29 August 2026 and the event will be hosted in Smyths Toys Superstore Staples Corner in London. The UK and ROI Championship will consist of twenty (20) city-level champions per class. The twenty (20) qualifying players will receive direct communication from Tournament Promoter regarding specific timing and location. Travel costs and other expenses are not included and are the responsibility of the qualifying player. The Tournament Promoter will indicate the format and number of wins needed to advance and win the trip to the Grand Prix Final in Bangkok, Thailand. The last player remaining in each class will be crowned as the UK and ROI Champion.
7. Prize: The UK and ROI Champion of each class will receive a paid trip to Bangkok, Thailand to represent UK and ROI in the Beyblade X Grand Prix Final (12-13 December 2026). The prize includes the following for the winner and one parent or legal guardian: Roundtrip airfare (economy class) from the nearest international airport to Bangkok, hotel accommodation (4 nights), local transportation and daily food and drink allowance. The prize does not include travel insurance, spending money, tax or other personal expenses. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
The winner will be responsible for ensuring that they and any person travelling with them are available to travel and hold valid passports, any necessary visas and travel documents for the trip on the travel dates specified.
If the winner, represented by their parent or legal guardian, as applicable, refuses the trip, the prize will be forfeited with no cash equivalent. If the winner does not attend after accepting the trip, they will be obliged to reimburse Hasbro for all travel-related costs.
8. Taxes: Prizes are void where prohibited or restricted by law. All applicable taxes associated with the receipt or use of a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Tournament Promoter reserves the right to withhold the delivery of the prize until all necessary tax documentation has been obtained. The winner is responsible for consulting a tax advisor and correctly reporting any income received from the prize. The Tournament Promoter assumes no liability for tax obligations that go beyond its legally prescribed reporting and submission obligations.
9. Limitation of liability: Insofar as is permitted by law, the Tournament Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Tournament Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
10. Warning for photosensitivity, epilepsy or seizures: Photosensitivity, epilepsy or seizures could be associated with game play.
11. Granting of Publicity Rights: Except where prohibited by law, by participating in the Event, the participant and as applicable, their parent or legal guardian, agrees that the Tournament Promoter and its authorized representatives may collect the participant's (and/or their parent’/legal guardians’) name, voice, photograph and other personal information, video recordings of participation, statements about the Event, any winnings and/or screenshots, or use video clips of the Event ("Entrant Data") on Tournament Promoter’s websites, social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter), platforms (e.g., YouTube, Twitch), digital banners, and promotional emails worldwide, including after the conclusion of the Event, as well as for advertising, marketing, and promotional purposes, without notice or compensation. A separate consent form will be provided for this purpose prior to the Event.
12. General Conditions: If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Tournament Rules, the Tournament Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the tournament.
The Tournament Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, terminate or amend the Event where it becomes necessary to do so. Notice for any such change, termination, modification or suspension will be posted publicly and all participants shall be notified.
These Tournament Rules are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
